Italian indefinite adjectives (aggettivi indefiniti) indicate indefinite beings or things in general. The indefinite adjectives are divided into a few types:
- regular, with singular and plural forms in the masculine and feminine (they can also be pronouns):

Alcuni ospiti sono in ritardo.
Some guests are late.
» alquanto
Sembrava alquanto stanco.
He seemed very tired.
» altro
Domani è un altro giorno.
Tomorrow is another day.
» certo
Certe volte non ti capisco.
Sometimes I do not understand you.

I have several things to tell you.

I'm not in much of a hurry.

» qualsiasi
Crederebbe a qualsiasi cosa.
He would believe anything.
» qualsivoglia

» qualunque

- Keep in mind that:
» alcuno, ciascuno, and nessuno act like the indefinite article uno with respect to use of the apostrophe and truncation.

She called each student by name.
» nessuno has negative implications; if it precedes the verb it does not require any negation, but if instead it follows the verb, the negation non is necessary.
Nessuno ha parlato.
No one spoke.

» qualche is not used in negative sentences. in its place use alcuno or nessuno:
Ho qualche problema.
I have a few problems.
Non ho alcun (nessun) problema.
I don't have any problems.
