Italian Language and Lyric Music
The Dante Alighieri Society—Committee of Mondavio, located in the Renaissance town of Mondavi, conducts a three-week summer program in Italian language and lyric lessons. Includes entrance to three operas, half- and full-day excursions to towns such as Venice, Florence, Rome, Ravenna, and Assisi, cultural events, participation in a costume-wearing Renaissance festival, and a lyric concert organized by the school.

Language of the Opera
Course consists of lessons in standard Italian and private tutorials on the Italian opera daily. Learn the esssential information about several operas and listen to some of the arias from them. The course points out the differences between poetic and archaic Italian and the modern language and studies arias such as Non più andrai (from Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro") and La donna è mobile (from Verdi's "Rigoletto").
