How to Create Your Own Italian Language Newspaper

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Want to learn more about Italian current events, but can't find a newsstand? Create your very own full-color Italian language daily newspaper with these simple instructions.

Difficulty Level: Average    Time Required: 30 minutes

1. Log on to http://www.eday.it/.
2. Click on registrati subito.
3. Fill out the online Modulo di Registrazione in its entirety.
4. Click on Invia to submit the necessary personal information.
5. Choose the daily pages - pagine quotidiane - you would like to receive.
6. Choose the weekly pages - pagine settimanali - you would like to receive.
7. Choose the special features - pagine speciali - you would like to receive. One in-depth, special article is published approximately every other week.
8. Choose the new sections you would like to receive when they become available.
9. Click on Invia to confirm your preferences.
10. eDay will send you an email confirming registration. To use the service, log on the http://www.eday.it and type the username and password you selected in the upper left-hand area labeled Personal eDay.
11. eDay can be printed out a few ways - by section or in its entirety. It can also be downloaded via hard drive for later reference.
12. The daily email contains a unique URL that leads directly to that day's newspaper, or log on the the site and click il tuo giornale personalizzato, which will lead directly to the PDF version ready for printing.
    

Tips:

1. The thematic sections can be changed at will. Daily, weekly, and special features can be added or removed using the personalization feature. Changes are reflected in the next daily issue.
2. eDay provides a Help page at http://www.eday.it/eday/help/help.html for questions regarding printing, email options, and registration.
3. To read and publish eDay files in PDF, it is necessary to have the Adobe Acrobat reader, available free at the Adobe web site.
4. By default eDay is sent to your emailbox every day. You can interrupt service or modify the email address that the publication is sent to using the personalization feature.
5. eDay Alert is an optional feature that automatically identifies articles corresponding to key words of your choice. eDay Memo allows you to insert a personalized text message that appears on the front page of the newspaper.
