Numero Verde

Sunday July 12, 2009

Numero VerdeIn Italy a toll-free telephone number (analogous to an 800 number in the United States) is commonly referred to as a Numero Verde (green number) or Linea Verde (green line). The called party is charged the cost of the calls by the telephone carrier, instead of the calling party. Originally a Numero Verde started with the prefix 1678 and later with 167, but for several years now begins with either 800 or 803.

Non ho mai sentito parlare di “linea verde”. In Italia si chiama “numero verde”.
