Type Italian Characters Online

Tuesday June 24, 2008
One frequently asked question on the About.com Italian Language Forums is how to type Italian language characters such as à, è, é, or ì. Community members have suggested several solutions, including using character codes (hold down the ALT key and strike a three- or four-digit code sequence) or switching to the US International keyboard.

Now there's another way: type Italian characters online in the text box by simply clicking a button for the accented character. Then copy-and-paste wherever you need the text—into your word processor document, e-mail message, forum post, etc. And there's upper case, too!
