Dove? Cos'è? Bravo ragazzo! Falla finita. A primer on Italian? No, these words appeared in a recent article in The New York Times on truffle hunting in the village of San Giovanni d'Asso, about 25 miles southeast of Siena. Specifically, they were directions given to Ugo, a truffle-hunting dog, by a trifolau (truffle hunter). It seems that the Lagotto Romagnolo, the preferred breed for hunting truffles, has an appetite for the earthy, nutty funghi.
