Italian Oral History Institute

Friday May 6, 2005
Put it down on paper, or else risk losing spoken memories. That's the idea behind the Italian Oral History Institute, a non-profit community-based research and public education organization. Its purpose is to collect, preserve, and make accessible materials relating to the culture and history of Italians in California.

Members can learn about their own cultural roots by taking a course in field collecting or folk and regional culture, or attend public programs sponsored by IOHI.
