Volunteer Teachers Abroad in Italy

The Amity Institute offers native English-speakers the opportunity to serve as teachers or intern teaching assistants in English language classrooms in Italy.

Since 1962, Amity Institute has promoted the study of foreign languages building international friendship. Through our program, more than 5,000 volunteers from nearly 50 countries have assisted American professors in schools of all levels.

This year, Amity is glad to welcome Italy among the numerous international partners who open their door to an increasing number of American teachers wishing to assist English teachers and build new friendships.

AVTA (Amity Volunteer Teachers Abroad) in Italy

Native English Speaker assist teachers in classrooms of all levels

Can be hosted for a minimum period of 1 month

They live with a host family/ alternative accommodation may be arranged

The assistant guarantees a maximum of 25 hours of weekly instruction

Cost to the School: $500 per semester / $800 per full school year

Teacher Workshops

Conduct workshops in schools of all levels for 2-6 weeks

Guarantee sessions of 12 hours per week

Cost to the School: $100 per week

Amity Intern Teacher Program in the USA

Assist teachers in American classrooms of all levels – 3 to 12 months

Guarantee a maximum of 20 hours of weekly instruction

They live with a host family

Cost to the Participant: $50 administrative fee, airfare ticket, health insurance

Some scholarships are available.

Storia dell’Amity Institute
Dal 1962, l'Amity è impegnata nello sviluppo di amicizie internazionali attraverso l'apprendimento delle lingue. Grazie ai suoi programmi, più di 5000 volontari provenienti da circa 50 paesi hanno affiancato professori americani in scuole di tutti i livelli.
